The mascot for my forum, Outlook, Perverendus is a Shoebill (Balaeniceps rex) with a broadsword.
Here you see him using his peculiar fencing style- lining up whatever he's about to hit with his sword, then going into a rapier-style fencer's lunge and skewering it. This is based off a Shoebill's hunting strategy, i.e. fall on top it (typically a lungfish) and clonk with heavy beak and weight of body. Like a Shoebill, which use their wings to push themselves back to their feet, he often has to brace himself with both legs and hand to retrieve his sword out of whatever it's become stuck in.
He's also wearing a military coat, because that has become part of his design. I didn't intend for him to be so human, other than his head, but that's what he wanted. Color and patterning is based off a Shoebill.
Background colors are Outlook's colors. The text for his name, incidentally, is the same as on the banner.
Perverendus is Latin name from root per, here meaning "thoroughly", + verendus, either "awesome" or "sexual organs".
So, idiomatically, Perverendus is translated as "oh balls yeah!"
